Mission Statement:
Through prayerful reflection of Scripture, we, the lectors, strive to proclaim the Word of God in a creative, powerful and effective way with the goal of making it come alive in the hearts and minds of all who are listening.

Description of Ministry
After initial training at a Lector Preparation Workshop the new lector is added to the parish lector roster and is scheduled to read usually once a month at an assigned weekend Mass. Periodic training is available to update reading skills, learn preparation recommendations and find continual ways for self-improvement in voice quality, voice range, diction, etc. Confirmed, faithful Catholics may participate in this ministry.

Dates and times of Lector Meetings are announced in the Parish Bulletin and through the mail.
